Why Choose Kumho Tyres?

Kumho Tyre’s world-renowned quality is a result of a strong commitment to advanced design technology and drive to innovate. Excellent products that deliver optimum performance, quality, and most importantly, safety, are the Kumho Tyre promise.

UNIQUE 'ESCOT' TECHNOLOGY

Kumho Tyre’s advanced patented 'ESCOT' (Excellent & Smart Contour Optimisation Theory) technology maximises tyre performance by optimising braking capabilities and improving steering for safe, comfortable driving. This technology sustains the performance of the tyre by maintaining its shape throughout the speed range. At the same time, the tyre retains its ground contact pressure distribution to enhance tread life and braking capability.

XRP - EXTENDED RUN FLAT PERFORMANCE

With XRP technology, you can remain in control on the road even after your tyre has punctured. A new generation of revolutionary tyres employ a special rubber compound that puts safety first. XRP reinforces the sidewall to minimize tyre deformation and structural tension when air pressure is lost. Available in select sizes of Ecsta MX, Ecsta LX Platinum and Ecsta SPT.

ECO-CONSCIOUS PRODUCTS

Our products combine technological innovation with an environmentally sound vision. Kumho actively seeks advances in materials and manufacturing techniques that are environmentally sound.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE TYRE (EV Tyres)

Kumho Tyre believes that the next generation of tyres should display excellence in performance, safety, and environmental awareness. Years of research and investment has led to the development of the ECOTRON tyre for electric vehicles. Unlike ordinary tyres, silica, a new type of anti-impact material, and special carbon black are used. This cutting-edge combination results in a lower rolling resistance of up to 45% and a reduced combustion rate of almost 10%, which in turn reduces the amount of pollutant emissions into the air.

EL MARK CERTIFIED

Kumho Tyre continues to crusade for the environment by developing new products and implementing various recycling efforts. Two special environmentally sound products, the SOLUS and POWER RACER II tyres are certified with EL Markings from the Environment Labelling Association in Korea. Eco-conscious endeavours include reducing the weight of tyres, which is not only cost-efficient but key in lowering the total volume of used tyres. Improving tyre abrasion performance has also extended the tyre's life cycle. In overall production, use of hazardous primary and secondary materials has been substantially minimised.

In 2014, Kumho Tyre turned to the harsh Australian outback to provide a real life test laboratory for its new mixed terrain tyre - the Road Venturer MT51. A prototype MT51 was put through an outback torture test against top selling competitive mud terrain tyres, and after extensive testing and refining was released into the Australian market in a range of sizes and wheel diameters.
